1. I knit another (another!) baby sweater:
Pattern is Korrigan, in Plymouth Dye For Me Dancing Toes, a machine-washable alpaca/wool sock blend.
2. I am working on my Rhinebeck sweater. I have 3 weeks to finish this baby. This is my 11 Sweaters in 2011 sweater #8. I am running a bit behind, but I have knit 6 baby sweaters this year too.
Handspun polworth from Happy Hands plus Reynolds Soft Sea Wool.
3. I made a tart.
It's the pear and cranberry tart from Vegan with a Vengeance. I simplify it, using the basic combo of pears, fresh (frozen) cranberries, sugar, ginger, and almond extract, and just toss it in a pie shell. Not all the pears were equally ripe, though, so it's... umm... "inconsistently textured."
4. Leah made me custom-colored fiber for my birthday!
It's a colorway named after me, with all my favorite greens. I love the hot pinks thrown in too! And it's on superwash BFL, my favorite! I cannot wait to spin this into some sock yarn.
5. I started a bootcamp class at the YMCA. The first session was really, really hard. Like, I almost blacked out hard. The second session was challenging, but not intensely so. I might be turning into the Goldilocks of bootcamp. Too hard, too easy... we'll see how this week goes! It's 12 sessions, and I am really enjoying it so far. I'm proud of myself for trying it out.
Okay, I think I'm all caught up now. We'll see what the week ahead holds! 19 days til Lisa, Leah and I leave for Rhinebeck!!!
Love your sweaters! I am hoping to have my sweater (1 in 11 LOL) done before Rhinebeck - it is good to have a deadline for me.
