Work it cuz you're worth it

This picture of me cracks me up. I think it's something to do with the smile and hand on the hip, workin' it like maybe no one will notice my sweater only has 1/4 of one sleeve.

Things are much better than they appear in the photo. My sweater now has 1.6 sleeves. This calls for an action plan, now that I've got some real momentum.
Step 1: Finish sweater by 8/31/11. This includes steeking and knitting on button bands. Hop around with insane glee; text pictures to all my knitting homeez.
Step 2: Start sweater with garter yoke of handspun yarn. Dream about impressing people while wearing it at Rhinebeck. Realize no one will be impressed by 1 out of the 3,500 handspun sweaters at Rhinebeck. Knit on anyway, hanging on to teensy shreds of hope.
Step 3: Knit an obligatory knitted gift. Mumble, cuss, decide not to knit in Sumerian curses. Dream about Rhinebeck to encourage self.
Step 4: Realize how much yarn/fiber/sheepiegoodness is already wedged in the yarn closet and feel guilty about how much money will be spent at Rhinebeck. Decide to stashbust. Create an action plan with multiple steps.

What are you up to this weekend?
